BOSTON – Oxford,
England’s NaturalMotion Ltd. (www.naturalmotion.com), which was one of the
first company’s to create 3D character animation software based on Dynamic
Motion Synthesis (DMS), a technology that uses Adaptive Behaviors and
artificial intelligence to simulate the human-nervous system, is at this year’s
SIGGRAPH show with Euphoria and Endorphin.
Euphoria is the company’s run-time
Dynamic Motion Synthesis (DMS) technology that is being used in several
next-generation titles, including LucasArts’ Indiana Jones 2007 (working title). Endorphin 2.6 is the newest version
of the company’s powerful, 3D character animation software.
The company is showing its technology off aboard The Lady
Christine, an ocean cruiser moored at the infamous Boston Harbor. SIGGRAPH
attendees can also see NaturalMotion product demos at the Autodesk and AMD
booths, and can get hands-on experience with Endorphin at the Guerrilla Studio
in Room 52 of the convention center.
In addition, during SIGGRAPH 2006 NaturalMotion is raising funds on behalf of
team member JP Collins, who will be participating in the 27th annual
Pan-Massachusetts Challenge (www.pmc.org), a two-day, 190-mile cycling event
that wa s organized to raise awareness and funds for Boston's Dana-Farber
Cancer Institute.
