SAN DIEGO -
France's Realviz (www.realviz.com)
is demonstrating the Realviz HDR Imaging Studio at SIGGRAPH this year. Unveiled in June, HDR Imaging Studio is a bundle that combines Stitcher
5.6, VTour 1.2 HDR and Photomatix Pro. The package is designed for the creation
of HDR environments for virtual reality, industrial design, special effects and
video game applications, starting from digital snapshots and panoramas.
With Stitcher 5.6, users can build HDR panoramas and
directly export them as environment maps in their favorite 3D
package. VTour 1.2 HDR enables digital content creators to add depth
information to their HDR environment maps for Spatial Image-Based Lighting (SIBL). HDR Imaging Studio is available in English
for Windows.
Realviz's Movimento (pictured) is a video-based, motion-capture
solution that was introduced at last year's show. The tool is powered by
Realviz's automatic 3D tracking engine and offers the ability to capture the motion
of any non-rigid object (humans, animals) from synchronized image sequences.
Movimento works with any number of cameras - either fixed or moving and at
different frame rates and definitions. The tool also offers a flexible solution
for facial, hand, arm and full-body motion capture across a wide range of
applications.
