SSL UPGRADES C300 CONSOLE

AMSTERDAM – The UK’s Solid State Logic (www.solid-state-logic.com) is here at the IBC show with an upgraded C300 HD Master Studio system, which is aimed at pros working in the nonlinear world of film and television post production. The C300 is a compact, assignable, scalable console designed for fast and efficient sweetening and mix creation.

Upgrades include tri-level sync support; serial control of HD VTRs; an enhanced 96kHz feature set with provision for up to 16 discrete audio channel; a Pec/direct switch option; three or four-channel side/rear surround panning; extended DAW control with SoftKey keyboard commands; an improved Center Section GUI with larger timecode display; 32 full resolution meters; and extended Mix Pass List display with 10 levels of undo.

Borrowing techniques created for its AWS 900+ analog workstation, SSL’s C300 HD integrates DAW control, allowing close interaction between console and DAW. Automation developed for the C200 digital production console provides complete realtime and non-realtime control over the console’s signal processing. This allows operators to slow down fast moves to a more manageable pace, or set up whole scenes using a locate key.

The C300 HD completes a family of digital production consoles with its sister C100 HD and HD-S and C200 models.
