MTI FILM & BRIGHT SYSTEMS PARTNER ON WORKFLOW SOLUTION

AMSTERDAM - MTI Film (mtifilm.com) has partnered with Bright Systems (www.4bright.com) to show a complete workflow for digital film and DI restoration. The demo features MTI's Correct V.7, the company's recently released digital film restoration and finishing solution. When linked to Bright Systems' Brightdrive media recording system, a solution is created for providing realtime, shared access to digital media assets.

Correct V.7 has powerful dust-busting capabilities for film and DI. According to Chris Gregory, MTI Film director of sales and marketing, V.7 picks up many of the routine restoration tasks that formerly required a compositing workstation to handle. The application has also been simplified, allowing pros to get up and running quicker.

Other new features of Correct V.7 include a streamlined user interface; a unified tool panel, with all of the software's plug-ins integrated into a single screen; and a revamped keyboard layout featuring numerous hot keys for speeding up routine tasks.

MTI Film is offering customized packages, with specialized toolsets designed for specific applications and the skill level of individual users. Packages will be available for digital intermediate work and television post production. Two packages will be available for film restoration operations too, and an "Artists" package will be offered featuring basic tools for new and less-experienced users. An "Experts" package will include a full set of tools for senior artists.
