MISTIKA HANDLES EDITING, FINISHING & MORE

AMSTERDAM – SGO, with representation in London (www.pixelution.co.uk), is showing a new release of its Mistika system at IBC. Mistika is a timeline-based, realtime editing, conforming, compositing, restoration, mastering and color-grading system. The new release - Version 4 - adds powerful 3D stereoscopic capabilities to its existing toolset.

Mistika’s open structure allows for easy interfacing with other products. The system can work natively in a SAN infrastructure while sharing standard format files, without any import/export process required for coping with other open systems.

Mistika provides high quality realtime conversion between 4K, 2K, HD and SD. SGO claims that Mistika has no resolution limits. The 64-bit-system runs on Linux and provides realistic production times for projects as high as 8K in resolution. All standard output formats, including PAL/NTSC SDI, HD-SDI RGB 4:4:4, 2K DVI output, 4K HDSL and 3D stereo dual HD-SDI can be supported.

At IBC, SGO is demonstrating Mistika’s toolset with footage provided by Concrete Post, Axis Films and Can Communicate.
