BOXX SHOWS SPECIAL EDITION 3DBOXX, ANNOUNCES NEW REDBOXX

LOS ANGELES – Boxx Technologies (www.boxxtech.com) is at SIGGRAPH with a “Special Edition” of its 3DBoxx workstation, which is optimized for visual effects. The Special Edition 3DBoxx is a dual processor-based workstation that maximizes the power of two Intel Core 2 Extreme processors. Boxx is offering special show pricing for the system, which normally costs $7,722.

The company also announced a new version of its RedBoxx system, which is designed for use with footage shot with the Red One digital cinema camera. Boxx introduced RedBoxx at NAB, a system powered by two Intel quad-core processors and packaged with a playback version of Assimilate’s Scratch for studios handling film finishing. The updated RedBoxx will include a full version of Scratch 3.9, providing full functionality for the DI application.
