LA agency David&Goliath conceived a new effects-heavy spot for client Kia that launches the automaker’s brand new Optima. "One Epic Ride" was produced by Biscuit and director Noam Murro. The spot highlights the desirability of the new Optima and the lengths that different characters — police, criminals, mythical beasts and aliens — will go through to get their hands on it. Final Cut’s Rick Russell edited the :60 spot, with Jacob Kuehl assisting. Visual effects were provided by Animal Logic. Company 3’s Stefan Sonnenfeld served as colorist.??Stimmung’s Robert Miller composed original music and Gus Koven created the sound design. Loren Silber at Lime mixed the final spot, which uses the tageline: “Not your average mid-size sedan.”
