May 9 NEW YORK - Boutique creative studio We Are Resident (www.weareresident.com), which recently celebrated its first anniversary, has been busy posting commercial and music video projects. In the past 12 months, the facility has completed work on spots for Mountain Dew, Ihome, Vitamin Water, Vodka V2, Heineken Light, Time Warner and Christian Lacroix. Its music video work includes Kanye West's Homecoming and Stronger, as well as Mary J. Blige's Growing Pains.  

May 8 VENICE, CA - The Venice Media District (www.venicemediadistrict.org) will host its Spring 2008 Mixer at member company, Wit Animation, on Thursday, May 22nd. The mixer will take place from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, and is being sponsored in part by Boxx Technologies, who will be on-hand to demonstrate their new RedBoxx system.  

May 8 NEW YORK - Lou Festa has joined City Lights Media Group as the company's new chief financial officer, in charge of overseeing business and finance operations, as well as strategic initiatives. He comes to the studio from FremantleMedia North America where he served as CFO since 1998.  

May 8 SANTA MONICA, CA - Ascent Media Group (AMG) has appointed Tom Kuehle senior VP of digital services. Formerly VP of digital content services at Hewlett-Packard, Kuehle will now head product and business development for AMG's digital services group, and will spearhead corporate marketing and strategic development activities.  

May 7 ST. LOUIS, MO - Production/post house Coolfire Media (www.coolfiremedia.com) recently completed work on a :30 commercial promoting the St. Louis Zoo's "Dinoroaurus" dinosaur exhibit.  

Identical twins Logan and Noah Miller had never produced or directed a film. Yet the 29-year-olds managed to raise money, hire a crew and attract top-notch Hollywood talent to create Touching Home, an autobiographical film they wrote, produced and directed starring Ed Harris, Brad Dourif, Robert Forster and Lee Meriwether.  

LOS ANGELES - To achieve the high contrast, brilliantly saturated color scheme the Wachowskis envisioned for Speed Racer, their hyper-stylized live action feature version of the classic animated series, the innovative duo turned to gifted young colorist Maxine Gervais and the digital intermediate team at Pacific Title & Art Studio (www.pactitle.com).
