September 1 FLUSHING MEADOWS, NY – Panasonic (www.panasonic.com) held a press event earlier today detailing the progress its making in its 3D initiative. The event was held in the venue that serves as home to the US Open tennis tournament, which is now underway, and marked what Panasonic’s VP of technology policy Peter Fannon described as “the opening of the 3D era in tennis.”

 

August 31 NEW YORK - The Audio Engineering Society (www.aes.org) Educational Foundation has announced the recipients of the 2010 AES Educational Grants for Graduate Studies. The AES Educational Foundation was established in 1984 to encourage the entry of talented students into the profession of audio engineering and related fields. Grants for graduate studies with emphasis on audio topics are awarded annually.

August 26 HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL – Class on Demand has released a new training course titled “Avid Media Composer for Final Cut Pro Users.” The company worked closely with Avid to translate Final Cut Pro editing concepts to comparable solutions within Media Composer 5.
