In an industry where the spotlight traditionally shines on celebrity directors and A-list actors, two women recognized that Hollywood's true unsung heroes were often working far from the red carpet. They were the editors burning through long nights in dimly-lit bays, crafting the high-stakes footage that persuades audiences to buy a ticket.

Twenty-six years ago, Monica and Evelyn Brady saw a massive gap in the entertainment landscape. Fresh out of college, they pooled their talents and founded the Golden Trailer Awards, creating a platform dedicated to recognizing the artists and marketers responsible for one of filmmaking's most important - and overlooked - creative forms: the movie trailer.

Today, after more than a quarter-century of uninterrupted success, the Golden Trailer Awards have become one of the industry's most anticipated annual events.

"Our job is to acknowledge the people who actually make the movies in the editing bay, and the marketers who bring those movies to audiences," says Monica Brady. "We're giving them recognition they rarely receive - and recognition they truly deserve."

Their success stands as a masterclass in entrepreneurial vision and market awareness. Long before short-form content, viral clips and shrinking attention spans became the dominant forces in media, Monica and Evelyn understood that the movie trailer represented the apex of film marketing.

They recognized trailers not simply as advertisements, but as a sophisticated art form - an intricate blend of rhythm, psychology, music and storytelling. By launching the Golden Trailer Awards, they didn't merely create another industry ceremony. They established a permanent home for the creative professionals on the marketing side of Hollywood, whose contributions had long gone unrecognized.

As the only two women to build and sustain a global platform dedicated to high-end entertainment marketing on this scale, their achievement is remarkable. Over the course of 26 years, they have successfully navigated seismic industry shifts - from the transition from physical film to digital workflows, to the rise of streaming platforms, to today's relentless demand for social media content and short-form promotional campaigns.

Through it all, Monica and Evelyn have remained steadfast in their belief that great marketing matters. A brilliant trailer can elevate a small independent film that might otherwise struggle to find an audience. It can create anticipation, spark conversation and transform awareness into cultural momentum.

Trailers, whether audiences realize it or not, are an enduring part of our shared cinematic experience. By continually spotlighting the emotional impact, technical precision and creativity required to engage modern viewers, the Brady sisters have permanently changed how Hollywood views one of its most important promotional tools.

Twenty-six years later, their vision remains the gold standard. Or, as Evelyn Brady simply puts it:"As long as there are great stories to tell, there will be an audience hungry enough to watch them. All we do is give them the first peek before it comes out and entice them."
