EDITSHARE ADVANCES COLLABORATIVE WORKFLOW

LAS VEGAS - EditShare has emerged at NAB from an intensive R&D phase with new workflows aimed at Avid editors who want to share from the same project file. Now editors can work from the same file and get "instant" read-only access to each others' bins and sequences, including cross-platform between Mac and Windows.

EditShare (www.editshare.com), which had previously been for Windows versions of Avid NLEs, now supports Mac platform versions of Avid Xpress DV, Avid Xpress Pro and Avid Media Composer Adrenaline, says company president Andy Liebman. "Our newest technology breakthroughs are a direct result of our customers telling us what they need," he says. "Their collaborative editing and shared media storage systems need to work in their complex environments of multiple, seemingly disparate, editing applications and platforms."

EditShare has also opened a European HQ to handle interest in the EMEA regions out of a London office headed by new EMEA manager of operations Tara Montford.
