ICARUS FLIES INTO COMMERCIAL MUSIC

LAKEWOOD, CA - Boutique music production company, Icarus Music (www.IcarusMusic.com), has entered the commercial music arena. The studio has spent the last 10 years producing music for television programs, films and interactive projects. It is probably best known for providing scores for numerous popular Discovery Channel programs.

Icarus is headed by principals/composers Eddie Freeman and Marta Victoria, and the venture into commercial music should not be a stretch for them as the company has already scored two promos for the Discovery Channel's yearly program launch. In addition, Victoria has worked at agencies Saatchi & Saatchi, Hal Riney & Partners and Ogilvy & Mather/SF earlier in her career.

The team is still working to secure sales representation, and plans on using their popular signature soundtrack, "Garden Nymph Salad," to gain entry into the commercial market.

The duo is currently finishing a soundtrack CD for "The Big Swell," an independent film about a unique breed of surfers who take advantage of today's technology to find and surf the world's biggest waves.
