MASSIVE SOFTWARE ADDS TO MANAGEMENT TEAM

Divehall (pictured) has been involved in the visual effects and animation industry since the early ‘90s. During his tenure with Alias, he was responsible for managing Asia Pacific distribution channels and driving strategic relationships. He held several sales and marketing positions, and played a leading role in developing the company’s business in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining Alias, Divehall built Digital Video Technologies (NZ) Limited into a premier technology supplier to the New Zealand film and visual effects industry. The company supplied Weta Digital with tools and systems during the production of The Lord of the Rings.

In addition to Divehall, Massive also recently hired Artaya Boonsoong as the company’s industry manager for visual effects & animation. A citizen of Thailand, Artaya’s production credits include serving as an animator and lead technical director on films such as Crash, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, The Human Stain, Charlie's Angels II, Underworld:Evolution and Ray.

Boonsoong began his career as a solo CG artist in Thailand, later relocating to the US. He collaborated on numerous games and commercials before founding his own visual effects studio, Luma Pictures, in 2002.

Recently, Massive has shipped a new version of its flagship Massive application, as well as introduced a new product, Massive Jet, which now allows animators to create scenes with hundreds of thousands of realistic virtual characters. Massive Jet is expected to ship in early 2006.
