FURIOUS FX QUICKLY REACHES MILESTONE

The facility was co-founded by executive visual effects supervisor David Lingenfelser and head of production Scott Dougherty following a decade of work at Kodak's Cinesite Hollywood facility, which closed.

"We have definitely experienced some creative growth this year, with more complex CG effects added to the mix than ever before," notes Dougherty. The studio has averaged a staff size of around 12 since it opened.

"The talent and dedication of our artists and production team enable us to take on very complex sequences," continues Lingenfelser.  "Being a relatively small group, we find ourselves having to explain that all but a tiny fraction of the work on our reel was completed entirely by Furious FX artists.  Often the feeling is that a staff our size would have supplied only certain portions of these effects."
