LA DIGITAL POST OPENS 5.1 SUITE IN NYC

The room is based around Digidesign's Pro Tools|HD3 system, with Version 7 software, running on an Apple Power Mac G5 Quad 2.7GHz workstation. A Digidesign Control 24 is used for mixing.

The room incorporates Blue Sky 5.1 monitors with bass management, a Sony 50-inch plasma television and two 23-inch Apple Cinema Displays. Two Sony 14-inch NTSC monitors are also available.

The room is connected to all of the facility's Avid editing bays through the Unity storage system, creating a tapeless environment. A voiceover booth on the same floor is linked to the audio suite through video cameras and monitors.

Since the room came on line it has been host to several audio post sessions, including mixing for VH1's Rap School and ABC's Wife Swap, both for RDF Media, and for an NHL Productions video that will play at the pro hockey Hall of Fame.
