LOOSE MOOSE MIXES TECHNIQUES FOR ANIMATED COOKIE SPOTS

In Eulogy, two cookies are speaking at another cookie's funeral. As they describe the deceased cookie's "rich life" a hand swoops in and nabs the speaker. Date shows a cookie entertaining a female guest in a luxurious penthouse apartment. As things begin to heat up, a hand reaches in and pulls the cookie from the scene.

Loose Moose used a combination of stop-frame animation, detailed model sets and CG backgrounds to create the illusion of the penthouse apartment in Date. Stop-motion was shot within the model apartment set with a blue screen seen through the windows of the set. Real glass was used in the windows to create accurate reflections. The CG background was built using Autodesk Maya. The camera move used in the stop motion was matched and tracked using 2d3's Boujou software.

Eulogy, on the other hand, was pure stop motion. Characters, backgrounds, etc., were all shot in-camera, leaving Framestore CFC to handle rig removal in post.

FCB New York conceived the spots for client Kraft/Nabisco. Framestore-CFC in London provided post services and New York City's Sound Lounge posted the audio.
