TELECINE BOUTIQUE 'NEW HAT' OPENS
Festa, Muller and Walker all spent time at Ascent Media’s Riot facility. Festa is a veteran colorist who was named Commercial Colorist of the Year by da Vinci Systems in 2004. Earlier this year, he posted a Super Bowl spot promoting Jay Leno's new 10pm series.
Muller was most recently a senior colorist at Riot. He was previously at 525 Studios Hollywood, and also served as head of telecine at Video Post/Hong Kong, and director of telecine at Complete Video/London.
Walker's experience began in production and editorial, before focusing on telecine at Encore Santa Monica. She enjoyed a nine-year tenure at Riot, first as producer, and eventually as executive producer.
The New Hat team also includes colorists Beau Leon, Adolfo Martinelli, and Marcelo Aprile. Carla Pagi serves as senior producer.
Since opening, the studio has contributed to work for Cisco (O&M/Lost Planet), Blackberry (Leo Burnett Chicago/Stardust Studios), and Chase (Mcgarrybowen/NY/Spotwelders).
