UNIT COMPLETES WEB VIDEO FOR UK'S LIBERTY
In the video, loose papers form the shape of people. As these paper people move throughout the city, pages are lost, reinforcing the “who knows where your information will wind up” theme.
Unit performed Foley to create the specific sound of the paper as moves around London. Digidesign Pro Tools was used for adding ambient sounds helping to reflect the different locales features. Colorist James Willett used Apple’s Color to give the spot its industrial tone.
The video launched on Liberty’s website (www.liberty-human-rights.org.uk), the ITV Player and The Guardian Website on Wednesday, July 29th.
MacNeil wrote, directed, produced and edited the piece. Richard Scarlett served as compositor. In addition to Color and Pro Tools, Unit used Pixel Farm’s PFTrack, Maxon Cinema 4D, Final Cut Pro and Shake on the job.
