AVID UPDATES DS FINISHING SYSTEM
DS users can now more effectively manage a file-based project pipeline by reducing ingest and conform requirements. Native conform from Media Composer for .R3D and Arriraw files enables users to recreate complete timeline information, including effects, titles and color, for realtime playback and faster rendering.
AVX2 support provides users with a simple path for total conform of visual effects that are first generated in Media Composer and Symphony editing systems. Customers can take advantage of the full effects toolset at any stage of the editing process with a new AVX2 plug-in interface that makes it possible to use Boris FX and Sapphire effects in DS from any offline Avid project.
DS version 10.3 is available now, and customers with a valid support contract can download the latest version online (www.avid.com).
