The new Baselight HD system will include Spirit Control and Stereoscopic 3D options. The company selected the system thanks to its support for file-based modes of post production, as well as for its seamless integration with the studio’s Avid editing systems.

The Spirit Control option will allow Baselight to directly control Crawford’s existing Spirit 2K Datacine and will be helpful in servicing the many clients who continue to shoot on film. The stereoscopic 3D option will allow Crawford to provide a new service the studio anticipates from corporate and entertainment clients.  And Baselight’s ability to grade high resolution imagery also gives the studio the opportunity to provide DI services for independent films produced in the Southeast.
