Extreme Music releases country-themed 'Stampede'

NEW YORK — Extreme Music (www.extrememusic.com) has teamed up with Watsky Music to release “Stampede,” a new country music production library. Stampede debuts with four albums — “Gentlemen, Start Yer Engines”; “Shut Up 'N Listen”; “Crusin' for a Bruisin'”; and “Sad to the Bone” — which collectively include tracks with hillbilly, racing, trucking, heartbreak and honky-tonk themes.

Jonathan Watkins and Dennis Matkosky founded Watsky Music in 2005. Watkins has worked at MGM Music and Fox Music, while Matkosky has written tracks for country stars such as Keith Urban, LeAnn Rimes, Martina McBride, and David Nail. The Stampede collation also include track by Travis Howard, who has written numerous songs for Platinum/Grammy winning artist Miranda Lambert. Ty Lacy, who’s had over ten #1 hits in multiple genres including songs for Keith Urban, LeAnn Rimes and Faith Hill, is also a contributor, as is Aron Leigh, whose "Change" was picked by the Obama campaign for an Internet ad.

Extreme's music is available on a subscription-based model.
