DAVE grad to speak at commencement ceremony

ORLANDO — Graduate/Stereo D stereoscopic supervisor Brian Taber will speak at the Digital Animation and Visual Effects School commencement ceremony on June 22. The event will take place at the AMC Universal Cineplex at Universal Studios Orlando CityWalk.

Taber is a 2007 graduate of the school, and Stereo D has contributed to Avatar, Thor, and the upcoming Captain America. At the DAVE School, he learned the proper work ethic and attitude sought by employers, and was able to rise from junior artist to stereo supervisor.

"The thing I loved most about The DAVE School was my instructors and the opportunity to work with my classmates,” he recalls. “Working with my team on our Block 4 3D project was a wonderful experience, and prepared me for Stereo D. Our final DAVE School project is something I will always be proud of.”

The graduation festivities will also include a screening of The DAVE School graduate’s Block 4 3D project, Doctor Who, a fan film based on the BBC hit TV show.

The DAVE School is located on the backlot of Universal Studios, Florida, in Sound Stage 25. The 35,000 square foot facility includes three labs, a shooting stage with a greenscreen, and a motion capture system.
