AMSTERDAM — At the IBC show, Glyph Production Technologies (www.glyphtech.com) is previewing the GPT50, a new member of its portable drive family. The GPT50 is 33 percent smaller than the company’s current GT050Q and features next-generation Oxford bridging technology.
GT50 features a single 3.5-inch drive and will support 500GB, 1TB, 2TB and 3TB capacities. A 4TB drive is also planned.
The GPT50’s features an internal power supply, along with FireWire, eSATA and USB ports. A Smart-Fan provides controlled air flow and advanced cooling, and a three-year warranty is included. The unit’s packaging is 100 percent recyclable too.
Glyph hopes to ship the GPT50 in the December/January timeframe.
