HPA Tech Retreat set for February

INDIAN WELLS, CA — Registration is now open for the 19th annual HPA Tech Retreat (www.hpaonline.com) which will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Indian Wells, CA, from February 18-22. The event is promoted as an informal gathering where engineering, technical and creative talent, as well as strategic business leaders, can discuss all aspects of digital cinema, post production, film, television, video, and related technologies.

This year’s event features numerous improvements, including significant changes to the Demo Room, where participants can see the newest and most innovative technology for post production, broadcast and related areas. The Tech Retreat Conference will beginning with the Supersession on Tuesday. The main program will take place from Wednesday through Friday. Charles Poynton will be presenting his half-day intensive on color on Monday afternoon and the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) will hold their regular Tuesday seminar.
