Moviola to host free storage, workflow seminar

HOLLYWOOD — Moviola (http://www.moviola.com) is hosting a free event on July 19 that focuses on shared storage and media workflow platforms and how to choose the right solution for your studio.

It’s targeted at facility owners, supervisors, editors and technical staff. Featured speakers are Andy Liebman (pictured, right), co-founder/CEO of EditShare and the event’s sponsor, and Matt Scott, post production supervisor, Morningstar Entertainment.

The volume of content generated is growing exponentially in every category — from commercials to documentaries to episodics to reality shows. This evening offers real-world tips and techniques to manage media from industry pros who have designed and developed and used collaborative infrastructures.

Topics covered will include: what types of technology are available; when is the right time to implement a collaborative media workflow platform; the right questions to ask when investigating platforms;  budget; expected benefits for owners, supervisors, editors, account managers and technical managers; the bottom line return on investment.

Doors open at 6pm, and the presentation begins at 6:30pm. There is a cocktail reception following, from 7:45-9:00pm.
