B2FX expands in North Hollywood

NORTH HOLLYWOOD — Academy Award winner Barney Burman’s special effects make-up, character, and creature design and production company B2FX (www.b2fx.com), has expanded into new creative studio space in North Hollywood’s Arts District.

The company is currently in production of make-up effects work for the second season of NBC TV’s dramatic series Grimm. B2FX has been involved with the design, creation, and production of all of the creature make-up effects for the series since its third episode.

In addition, B2FX recently provided make up special effects for the independent horror film, Apparitional. Written and directed by Andrew Jones, Apparitional is the story of a group of ghost hunters competing within the world of paranormal TV shows. Their efforts lead them to a haunted prison with a grisly past. The film stars Jeffrey Johnson, Linara Washington, and Dee Wallace, and is slated for release this Fall.

Burman won the “Best Make-Up” Oscar in 2010 for his work on Star Trek.
