Filmlight & Dolby partner on upcoming events in NYC

NEW YORK — Filmlight and Dolby are teaming up for two presentations that will take place on March 13 and 14 in New York City.

On Wednesday, March 13, Filmlight’s “Customer User Group for Baselight” will be held at Dolby Laboratories (1350 Avenue of the Americas) in Manhattan. The 5:00pm event will explore the latest version of the company’s Baselight grading system and will include pizza and beer. Baselight experts will share their experience, tips and tricks for Baselight 4.3 and will preview Baselight 4.4. Attendees will also get an overview of Baselight Editions for Avid, Apple Final Cut Pro and Nuke. Client content will be displayed on Dolby's PRM-4200 professional reference monitor.

On March 14, Dolby’s New York office will host “Filmlight & Dolby Digital Process Workflow sessions,” which are aimed at colorists, freelancers, DITs, and cinematographers. Attendees can learn how to create grades, filter effects and looks on set with FLIP.

Filmlight’s Baselight Editions brings grading tools to Avid, Apple Final Cut Pro and Nuke users. The Baselight creative grading and finishing system, with its dedicated Blackboard control surface, will also be highlighted, and content will again be displayed on Dolby’s PRM-4200.

Session times are 10am, 12pm and 2pm. The event is free but space is limited, so RSVP to marketingUS@filmlight.ltd.uk to reserve a spot.
