LOS ANGELES — Electric Theatre (http://electrictheatre.tv), which opened a post studio in London back in 2011, has extended its presence into the United States, with a new facility in Los Angeles. The studio specializes in advertising and film post production, and recently completed work on one of its first jobs out of the LA location.

Electric Theatre Collective Los Angeles is based in a warehouse-style building not far from Santa Monica. The studio staffed by a team that are both local and from London. At the helm is Rogue Films veteran Kate Hitchings, who joins ETC LA as EP. Also over from London is head of color, Aubrey Woodiwiss.

When Electric Theatre opened four years ago, the studio had just a team of four. Today, there are almost 80 employees.

The new location’s first job was via agency Mullen Lowe and their client Acura. The new commercial was directed by Peter Thwaites at The Corner Shop. Electric Theatre is currently in production on a new commercial that will air during Super Bowl 50.
