Editors' Lounge to hold VR-themed event this Friday

BURBANK, CA — On Friday, February 26th, the Editors’ Lounge will present its first ever VR-themed event. The event will be held at AlphaDogs Post Production (1612 W. Olive Ave, #200 Burbank), and will feature a several discussions about tackling VR projects, from acquisition through post.

The “Demystifying VR" presentation will feature VR-guru Lucas Wilson, who is a producer at JauntVR, and founder/executive producer of SuperSphere Productions.

Stephen Fromkin, CEO of Talespin Media and former head of production for 360Heros, will present “VR in Production,” looking at budgeting, planning, shooting and other considerations. 

"VR in Post" will be presented by Chris Healer, founder and CEO of The Molecule. Healer will talk about the ins and out of stitching, rendering and visual effects workflows, as well as considerations for different kinds of VR rigs.

And in the "Audio for VR" session, Santa Monica-based Subtractive will dive into the particulars of sound design and mixing for the VR format.
 
The Lounge opens at 6:30pm and presentations will beginning at 7:00pm. The event is free but registration is required (http://www.editorslounge.com/nextevent.html). Attendees are  encouraged to bring their favorite beverage.
