AUSTIN, TX — Editor Andrea Mendoza has joined the team at TBD Post (https://tbdpost.com). The appointment follows the post house’s recent move into a 6,000-square-foot facility in Austin.
Mendoza brings over 17 years of commercial editing expertise to her new role. Her career spans across cities and cultures, and her resume includes work with AARP, Snickers, McDonald’s and AT&T. She has posted commercials for both English and Hispanic market.
Starting out professionally in New York, Mendoza cut her teeth at Epoch Films and Ohio Edit before moving to Austin to freelance. There, she honed her skills at Charlieuniformtango as an assistant editor for four years, then as editor for another seven years. Seeking another creative challenge, She moved to New York in 2014 where she served as an editor at Cutters. Her recent move to TBD Post marks her return to Austin.
“It’s awesome being back in Austin,” she says. “I fell in love with the city when I first came here all those years ago. I never intended to leave New York, but Austin just has this special draw. I was introduced to TBD Post through a friend of mine. Friends and clients kept recommending them, so I thought I’d better check them out! Aside from looking forward to working with the talented team, I’m definitely excited to edit in the newly-expanded facility. That space is awesome, and I can’t wait to watch movies in those theatres!”
