Adobe previews Creative Cloud updates

SAN JOSE, CA — Adobe (adobe.com) has unveiled new video features that are coming to Adobe Creative Cloud. The enhancements will speed up production timelines, enable more seamless workflows and deliver powerful capabilities to filmmakers and video professionals. The updates include Adobe Sensei-powered animation, intelligent audio cleanup tools, selective color grading, advanced data-driven motion graphic templates and end-to-end VR 180 support.

“Video professionals face short deadlines, clunky handoffs and long lists of deliverables,” says Steve Warner, vice president of digital video and audio at Adobe. “This latest Creative Cloud release introduces new innovation and capabilities to address these challenges and make common tasks faster and easier.”

These updates follow Adobe’s recent unveiling of Project Rush, an all-in-one, cross-device video editing app designed specifically for online content creators. Project Rush delivers a streamlined and intuitive user experience that makes creating and sharing online content easier than before by harnessing the power of Premiere Pro and After Effects. Currently in beta, Project Rush will be available later this year.

Some of the new capabilities coming to Adobe Creative Cloud later this year include new ways to animate via new Mesh Sculpting tools that twist, bend and scale under the user’s creative control in After Effects.

Project can now sound better thanks to intelligent cleanup tools, such as DeNoise and DeReverb, in the Essential Sound panel in Adobe Audition. Users can dial down or remove background noise and reverb from a sound clip that’s been intelligently adjusted by adaptive algorithms.

Color control has been improved, allowing users to take the guesswork out of curve adjustments. There are new Lumetri Color tools in Premiere Pro and After Effects.

Data-driven infographics are now easy to create through motion graphics templates that generate representations of information within video projects in Premiere Pro.

There are new features for 180-degree immersive video in Premiere Pro and After Effects, including optimized ingest, effects and output in Google VR 180 for viewing on YouTube or other platforms.

Team Projects allow groups to easily access content for collaboration. And Adobe Stock workflows have been improved by allowing users to search and sort footage and motion graphics templates, right from the Essential Graphics panel in Premiere Pro and After Effects.
