Shift showing workflow solution, launches Creative Fund for filmmakers

LAS VEGAS — MediaSilo and Wiredrive recently launched Shift (shift.io), a new brand identity for the combined companies. Shift is designed to change how creators develop and deliver their work, and provides solutions that streamline the process of creating, sharing and securing valuable creative assets.

The two companies first came together in early 2017 to combine their expertise and strengthen the development of tools that service nearly three million users in agency, brand and post production creative work. Shift will exhibit at booth SL9205.

“Shift reflects the changes we see happening in the industry today,” says Kai Pradel, CEO of Shift. “We are in the middle of a massive transformation in the media landscape, and as advisors and vendors we have front row seats. This means we are in a unique position to provide solutions that support content creators of tomorrow. We support media creation at any scale and are turning our attention toward a new generation of tools that address the demanding workflows of today’s creatives.”

Shift is now the umbrella brand for the company’s flagship products: MediaSilo, Wiredrive, Screeners.com and SafeStream. Shift addresses all aspects of creative workflow, providing solutions to the most significant challenges facing industries which, hindered by workflow conventions, compressed timelines and reduced budgets, still demand powerful creative.

MediaSilo delivers secure video collaboration tools and pre-release content delivery to the post production market. Wiredrive is widely used by agencies, brands and creative professionals looking to review, curate, present and share creative work. SafeStream is an on-demand and realtime visible and forensic watermarking service providing turnkey tools for securing video content online. And Screeners.com provides a singular, secure, hassle-free destination for previewing pre-release content.

In related news, Shift has introduced the Shift Creative Fund, a grant program designed to provide up-and-coming filmmakers with the resources they need to develop and deliver a finished short film. Encouraging creativity and collaboration, the Shift Creative Fund will support four narrative short films this year. Applications will be accepted from May 1st through May 31st and selected applicants will be announced on June 30th.

Those selected will each receive a cash grant of up to $30,000, consulting from Shift partners through each stage of the creative process, access to the Shift Creator Space in Los Angeles and two weeks of access to the Shift Airstream, a fully-equipped mobile production trailer.
