Boxx introduces new Xeon workstation and more

LAS VEGAS—BOXX Technologies (www.boxx.com) will introduce the APEXX W4X workstation featuring an overclocked Intel Xeon W-3175X processor at the 2019 NAB Show inside booth #SL15113. BOXX will also showcase a wide range of purpose-built desktop and mobile workstations demonstrating professional media & entertainment software applications.

Equipped with the new, 28-core Intel Xeon W-3175X processor, up to 512GB of memory, and 48 PCI lanes, the APEXX W4X is purpose-built to accelerate rendering and memory capacity , making it ideal for motion media applications. At NAB, APEXX W4X will demonstrate Cinema 4D.

In addition to the APEXX W4X, BOXX will also showcase the new APEXX X4 workstation featuring overclocked Intel Core X-Series processors, up to four professional GPUs, and 128GB of memory. Demonstrating Autodesk Maya and Arnold, APEXX X4 is ideal for editing feature films, deploying VR, and multi-tasking in complex production pipelines.

The BOXX booth will also be home to APEXX Enigma S3, the world’s fastest workstation, running V-Ray. The latest addition to the APEXX S-class line, Enigma S3 features a 9th gen Intel Core i7 overclocked to 5.1GHz. Enigma accelerates 3D design and VFX applications while also delivering optimal support for multi-GPU tasks. Supporting a wide range of GPUs and backed by a 1000 watt power supply, Enigma is configurable with two full-size GPUs (like the new Nvidia Quadro RTX) and equipped with a motherboard that offers full bandwidth dual x16 PCIe lanes accelerating GPU performance and functionality.

These desktop systems will be joined by a pair of mobile workstations. GoBOXX MXL, a true tower replacement featuring a desktop-class, 9th gen Intel Core i7 and Nvidia Quadro GPU, will demonstrate DaVinci Resolve, while the ultra-thin , VR-ready, GoBOXX SLM VR, featuring a new Nvidia Quadro P4200 GPU, will also be on hand. Rounding out the BOXX hardware lineup is the APEXX W8R, a GPU-dense server specifically designed to accelerate GPU rendering. F eaturing an Intel Xeon W processor  and configurable with up to eight professional, dual-width Nvidia® Quadro graphics cards, APEXX W8R brings maximum compute density to a single server.

The BOXX booth will also host demonstrations by Cirrascale Cloud Services and Pac Storage. Cirrascale (a BOXX sister company) will demonstrate the first non-virtualized Workstation-as-a-Service cloud system engineered for content creators who demand performance in living detail. Pac Storage’s demo will feature an ATTO Celerity Fibre Channel HBA connection from a BOXX APEXX E2 workstation to the PAC Storage 60 bay RAID and All Flash RAID systems
