Oscars: Roma, The Favourite lead list of nominees

LOS ANGELES – The nominees for the 91st Academy Awards were announced this morning, with Roma and The Favorite leading all films with 10 nominations each. Roma, written and directed by Alfonso Cuarón, is being recognized with nominations that include Best Picture, Directing, Cinematography, Sound Mixing, Sound Editing and Screen Play. The Favourite, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, is nominated for Best Picture, Cinematography, Directing and Editing.

Vice and A Star Is Born have the second most nomination, with eight each. A Star is Born’s nominations include Best Picture, Best Song, Cinematography and Sound Mixing. Bradley Cooper is nominated for Actor in a Leading Role, but not for directing.

Vice filmmaker Adam McKay is nominated for Writing and Directing, and the film’s stars Christian Bale (Actor in a Leading Role), Sam Rockwell (Actor in a Supporting Role) and Amy Adams (Actress in a Supporting Role) are each nominated too.

Other films receiving multiple nominations include Blackkklansman with six, Bohemian Rhapsody with five and Green Book with five. The following is a complete list of categories and nominees.
