LOS ANGELES – Nominations for the 72nd Emmy Awards were announced today, with HBO’s Watchmen leading the list of shows with 26 nomination.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel received 20, while
Ozark and
Succession each received 18.
The Mandalorian,
Schitt's Creek and
Saturday Night Live received 15 nominations each.
Netflix leads the nominations in total by platform with 160, setting a record previously held by HBO with 137 nominations in 2019. HBO has the second-most nominations with 107. Rounding out the top five are NBC with 47, ABC with 36 and FX with 33.
The 72nd Emmy Awards will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel on Sunday, September 20th. The 2020 Creative Arts Awards will air on FXX on Saturday, September 19th.
