Maxon to host '3D and Motion Design Show' on Thursday, June 18th

FRIEDRICHSDORF, GERMANY — Maxon’s first “3D and Motion Design Show” event of the year will take place on Thursday, June 18th. The featured speakers will include Bomper Studio’s Alan Towndrow, Swordfish’s Anthony Abbott, freelance artist Ryan Talbot and Maxon’s director of training, Simon Walker, CSI.

Alan Towndrow is a 3D animator at Bomper studio with over eight years of experience in character animation. He has worked with some of the most renowned names and shows in the industry. 

Anthony Abbott is senior creative at Swordfish. He has worked professionally since 2009 on project for brands such as Sonos, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Apple, Google, Salesforce, Microsoft and Samsung.
 
Freelance 3D artist/designer Ryan Talbot has worked on a variety of projects over the years, ranging from product advertising and network television to music videos and projection dances for Australia’s Got Talent. 

And Simon Walker, CSI, is director of training at Maxon. He has worked in post production since before Photoshop had layers and is a certified master trainer for both Apple and Adobe professional video suites.

The Thursday schedule is as follows (all times PST):

08:00: "Maxon Welcome and Announcements"

09:00: "Rigging and animating characters in Cinema 4D for the hilarious short, Coffee Run" with Alan Towndrow

10:30: "Cinema 4D, Redshift, and Red Giant techniques used to create visual effects for Talos" with Anthony Abbott

12:00: "Tips and workflows for VFX Suite (King Pin Tracker and Lens Distortion)" with Simon Walker, CSI

13:30: "Building a crystal cave with Cinema 4D and rendering with Redshift" with Ryan Talbot
