Quarantine Creepfest challenges horror-genre filmmakers

NORWALK, CT — The Power Station (www.thepower-station.com), a Tampa, FL-based horror movie production studio and creator of The Blair Witch Project and Friday the 13th, has teamed up with new social media app Tsū (www.tsusocial.com), here, to create the Quarantine Creepfest film festival. Designed to support the film community and encourage creativity, Quarantine Creepfest will present several cash awards, as well as a 6K Blackmagic Design camera package to the top entry.

Filmmakers are encouraged to submit their videos for consideration on Tsū in the COVID Creepfest Community and at www.quarantinecreepfest.com. All submissions will be shown on Tsū throughout October and highlighted on Tsū Live, with host Sarah Pribis. Tsū is a social media app that pays content creators. The goal of the festival is to create short horror films that showcase the creepy side of being stuck at home.

There are a few rules that filmmakers need to follow, one being that the live-action short can’t run any longer than three minutes and should be filmed in a single geographic area, home or residence. Every submission must incorporate the phrase "Lock-Down Blues”, either verbally or visually, in some creative way. And finally, submissions must be received by October 31st.

Entries will be judged by a panel of experts in the horror film genre, including Dan Myrick,
Jeffery Reddick, Tom McLoughlin, Danny McBride, Alex Popov and Molly Deckart.
