Bill Admans to steer growth & innovation at Ownzones

LOS ANGELES — Ownzones Entertainment Technologies (www.ownzones.com), a cloud-based video supply chain company, has promoted Bill Admans to senior vice president operations. Already a key player in the company and a popular media figure known for his wide range of knowledge and expertise, Admans will now lead the operations, product development and marketing teams at the company. He will also work closely with CEO Dan Goman to continue to develop and execute the growth and innovation strategy at the company.

“Bill has played an important part in helping us achieve our multiple successes so far,” comments Dan Goman, Ownzones CEO. “I am delighted to confirm his promotion to the new role and look forward to working with him as we seek to show the many advantages that a digital supply chain in the cloud brings to media organizations.”

With an extensive career covering the Americas, Europe and Asia/Pacific, Admans has held posts at Netflix, Dolby, Avid, and Technicolor. Of his many career achievements to date, some of the highlights include the strategic development and launch of the Netflix Post Technology Alliance (PTA) and the market launch of the professional high dynamic range (HDR) imaging tools used to create Dolby Vision, including contributions to the development of the Dolby Professional Reference Monitor. While at Avid, he seeded the strategy that saw the company transition to a subscription-based licensing model. And in his role as vice president post production at Technicolor, he drove the development and implementation of Technicolor’s innovative UHD/4K post production workflows for Amazon, Hulu and Netflix’s original series.

Before moving over to technology, Admans had an extensive career on the creative side, both as a producer and editor, and in leading the TV post teams at Matchframe and Fotokem in Burbank. Outside of industry roles, as a community leader, he co-founded Minds Matter Los Angeles, a nonprofit college access and mentoring program helping low-income students achieve their dream of a college education.
