LONDON — Video games creative agency Maverick Media (https://maverickmedia.co.uk), which is par of Keywords Studios, has appointed Joel Maguet head of studio, a promotion from his previous post as head of production and operations. He has more than 10 year of experience in creative production — including one and a half at Maverick — having managed both global TV commercials and online content. While at Maverick, Maguet helped shape relationships with clients such as The Pokémon Company, Bandai Namco and Wooga.
“Maverick is undergoing massive, positive growth at the moment, which I hope to continue as head of studio,” says Maguet. “We’re expanding in manpower and the creative services we offer – from game trailers to animation, social campaigns, influencer activations and beyond. It’s not about any one individual, but the team as a whole.”
Outside the workplace, Maguet is an enthusiastic producer of short films with a social message, and a veteran of the international film festival circuit. He is adept at managing creative development, budgets, crew.
