Preymaker adds veteran creative talent

NEW YORK CITY — Cloud-native creative studio Preymaker (preymaker.com) has added Rune Holst Månsson, Greg Cutler and Hassan Taimur to its growing team. The artists bring over three decades of collective experience to the studio, with expertise in CGI and compositing.

Born in Denmark, Månsson launched his career as a web and graphics designer, and quickly pivoted to CG generalist, eventually joining MPC London, and later moving to the company’s offices in Los Angeles to become CG supervisor. He then moved to The Mill New York as a 3D lead. His credits include work for Disney, Apple, Samsung, HP, Riot, Coca-Cola, Audi, Honda, Nissan, Toyota and Ford.

Cutler honed his compositing skills in New York, and has spent nearly two decades working primarily as a freelance compositor and lead/VFX supervisor. He has collaborated with Framestore, Method, Psyop and MPC, and has contributed to work for Mercedes-Benz, Google, IBM, Calvin Klein, Stella Artois and Facebook. In addition, he was part of the VFX team that helped bring Björk’s Lionsong music video to life. He had been freelancing with Preymaker for several months, before ultimately coming on-board full-time.

An accomplished FX artist, Taimur brings expertise with Houdini and Massive. He worked in AI as an undergraduate, learning Massive at SCAD and later becoming lead Massive artist at The Mill, where he spent nearly five years. For the past seven years, he freelanced, with a focus on FX work using Houdini as his primary tool. His credits include the VES nominated PlayStation Perfect Day and Ciclope Gold winner Hypervenom for Nike. Additional credits include work for Bud Light, Budweiser, ESPN NASCAR, Adidas, Star Wars: Battlefront, Spotify, Coca-Cola, Jim Beam, Puma and DirectTV.

“We are so excited to welcome Rune, Hassan and Greg to our stellar team,” says Preymaker chief creative, Angus Kneale. “They each bring with them exceptional creative and technical skills. We are building a company focussed on creating and crafting the best work in the world harnessing the latest in technology. Rune, Hassan and Greg each have excellent experience and are firmly focussed on the future.”
