LONDON — Spitfire Audio has released the Abbey Road One: Thematic Horns sample library. The new release is the ninth in the Abbey Road One: Film Scoring Selections series and the first featuring two legatos. The release features eight horns at its creative core, all of which are capable of fast-run articulations or slower lyrical performances.
The sample library is AU-, AAX-, NKS-, VST2- and VST3-compatible, and loads directly into all major digital audio workstations without the need for any additional software. The Performance Legato patch is designed to be aerobatic and instantly playable, performed with accented attacks at the front of the sustains. The Lyrical Legato patch provides a more measured and deliberate alternative, with a softer entry. The samples were recorded in Abbey Road’s Studio One, which is known for its rich tonality and famed reverb.
