MONTREAL — Rodeo FX (rodeofx.com) has appointed Michel Fournier, CPA, chief financial officer. The studio’s work includes visual effects for Stranger Things, the
Fantastic Beasts saga and Marvel’s
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
Fournier joined Framestore in 2013 as head of finance when the studio was just opening in Montreal. He was part of its original team of six, and helped the studio expand to what it is today, securing resources for more than 900 employees.
“I’ve known Rodeo for some time now,” says Fournier. “It’s great to see a studio with such a culture of pride at its core. That human aspect is crucial for me. It shows that we value who we are, and the people behind our craft above all.”
Rodeo FX is continuing to grow. The studio opened a Toronto office last month, joining existing locations in Los Angeles, Quebec City, Munich and Montreal.
“We are working with passionate people and we need to give them the tools they need to flourish,” says Sebastien Moreau, CEO and founder of Rodeo FX. “This requires careful planning, and Michel is someone who knows the artists and their realities, and that's exactly what we need.”
