DALLAS – Charlieuniformtango (http://charlieuniformtango.com) recently teamed up with TRG on a new campaign for ThermaCare heat wraps. BringTheHeat Slideshow is the first spot to break in the campaign and stars actor, comedian, producer, writer and licensed physician Ken Jeong. Dressed in a lab coat, Jeong presents a slideshow demonstrating how a regular heating pad ties you down with a cord, while ThermaCare heat wraps allow users to freely go about their daily activities. Jeong includes a few flattering photos of himself in the presentation, feigning surprise.
“From the get-go, I knew this was going to be a fun project,” notes Charlieuniformtango executive producer Mary Alice Butler. “When (senior editor) John McStravick told me I just had to see some raw takes because they were hilarious. We knew it was going to be a memorable project from start to finish!”
According to McStravick, the production shot on Arri’s Alexa Mini, capturing footage in 3.2K in Apple ProRes 4444.
“We loaded transcodes into Avid Media Composer 2022 and started cutting,” he recalls.
Matt Pittman assisted on the edit, and Joey Waldrip handled the color and online, along with Catherine Thomas. Gray Wilcox provided motion design elements and Russell Smith handled the sound mix.
