Maria Carretero now part of Assembly's color-grading team

NEW YORK CITY — Full service post production company Assembly (www.assembly.tv) has added senior colorist Maria Carretero to its team of artists. She comes to the studio from Nice Shoes, where she held the same title. Her career also includes roles as senior colorist at Framestore, head of color at Carbon VFX, and head of color grading at Serena Digital.

Carretero’s diverse portfolio of work spans award-winning commercial campaigns and long-form projects. Her commercial credits include work for Apple, Balenciaga, Porsche, Allstate, Jeep and Disney. She has also contributed to Super Bowl spots for Michelob Ultra, Walmart and Avocados from Mexico.

Carretero originally hails from Spain, where she discovered the power and nuance of color grading. Her background in painting and fine art often influences her on-screen work.

“Maria has an unparalleled talent and passion for creative work,” says Tara Holmes, VP of commercial services at Assembly. “She has an incredible collaborative style that consistently helps directors, DPs and creatives bring their creative visions to fruition. Maria’s unwavering commitment to each piece and her exquisite artistry perfectly complements our growing color team.”
