NEW YORK CITY — The Society of Voice Arts & Sciences (sovas.org) has announced that voice actor Tara Strong will be the recipient of this year’s Voice Arts Legacy Award for Arts and Entertainment. The award recognizes Strong’s four-decade career in animation and video games, which includes providing voice performances for the animated series The New Batman Adventures, Teen Titans, Teen Titans Go!, Rugrats, The Powerpuff Girls, The Fairly OddParents, Xiaolin Showdown and

The Voice Arts Legacy Award will be presented by Cree Summer, another bona fide voiceover superstar. Summer’s list of credits began with Strong’s on the same job. Both women are Canadian-American actors and have worked extensively in animation, voicing long-running characters. They’ve also been “besties” since they were kids.
The award will be presented on December 15th at the 13th Annual That’s Voiceover Career Expo at the Marriot Convention Center in Burbank, CA.
