Work announces eight promotions across three offices

LONDON — Work Editorial (www.workeditorial.tv) has announced eight promotions of woman across their London, New York and Los Angeles locations. Erica Thompson and Marlo Baird are now the managing directors of the New York and Los Angeles offices respectively. Thompson was the first EP in the US, who skillfully helped build Work Editorial from two rooms in New York into three offices worldwide. Baird was the first EP in Los Angeles and helped get the office off the ground and on to its successful path.

Alejandra Alarcon is now the new EP in New York. A thoughtful and pragmatic team leader, she is also a team player who instinctively knows what’s right for each situation.

Editor Anne Perri has relocated from London to the East Coast, while editor Audrey Weiner has joined New Wave, Work’s breakout roster for emerging editing talent.

Los Angeles also sees the appointment of new EP Remy Foxx, who, after joining Work late last year, immediately made her mark.

In London, Ellie McNaughtan has been promoted to executive producer. She started her Work tenure as an assistant editor and has shown natural creative insight into both the editing process and the team as a whole. McNaughtan joined Work in 2009.

Also in London, Lola Cookman, Work’s newest APA graduate, has moved up to associate producer. In addition to looking after the office, she is now starting to produce jobs.

“I am immensely proud of the whole Work family,” says Work founder, Jane Dilworth. “Both Erica and Marlo have been incredible at keeping us all working smoothly on some really brilliant projects during such challenging times, so this progression for them feels (like) a very natural step as they move into more of a managing role within the company. It really is truly wonderful how they both work with each other and myself. There is honesty, trust and faith. A teamwork that is always great to be a part of and inspired by.”

She continues, stating, “To have two such strong EPs in Alejandra and Remy is the perfect combination for the teams at both of the US offices. I’m thrilled to have Audrey on the New Wave roster and to see what this brings, and Annie is a brilliant addition to New York City.”

Commenting on the London news, Dilworth adds, the time was right for McNaughtan to take helm.

"From being the best assistant and then producer, Ellie is trusted and adored by us and clients alike, so is absolutely the perfect person for the job in London. Lola’s professional growth over the past year has been great to watch and see a very bright career ahead of her.”
