Brompton Technology promotes three team members

WEST LONDON — Brompton Technology (bromptontech.com), the manufacturer of LED processors, has promoted long-serving team member Adam Callaway to global lead, virtual production & broadcast. The move follows a successful year that included industry accolades, such as Advanced Imaging Society’s Lumiere Entertainment Technology Award, and the Television Academy’s Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Engineering, Science & Technology.

Callaway (pictured at top), who was formerly technical solutions manager, will spearhead Brompton's initiatives in the virtual production and broadcast markets, helping to identify opportunities for the rest of the team and delivering the highest level of support in these rapidly-evolving domains. Callaway is an advocate for technological evolution and expressed his excitement for the recent developments in virtual production. He is seeing innovation in LED usage, particularly in the application of RGBW technology for object-based lighting.

“As we anticipate the arrival of new LED panels and other emerging technologies, there’s still untapped potential in this market, promising an exciting future,” he says.

Callaway also points a significant shift in the lifespan of LED screens, emphasizing that, while in the past, they may have lasted for three or four years, contemporary screens can last close to a decade.

“This underscores the need for a control system with enduring support and software updates to prevent rendering investments obsolete. Particularly in the fast-paced realm of live broadcasts, having 24/7 support from industry-savvy experts who know exactly what you’re talking about is a game-changer,” he notes.

Brompton is also strengthening its leadership team by promoting Lotta Schiefer to director of sales, and Joanna Muggeridge to director of marketing. Following more than three decades in the entertainment industry, working with global manufacturers such as Barco, Vari-Lite and Wireless Solutions, Schiefer brought her years of experience to Brompton in early 2023. In her new position, she will closely collaborate with Rob Fowler, director of business development, who is realigning his focus towards engaging key customers, cultivating new markets and steering strategic initiatives.

With nearly 30 years of experience in PR and marketing, Muggeridge has been leading Brompton’s marketing team for several years, contributing significantly to the brand’s growth and expansion into new markets, particularly in-camera visual effects. She will now be leading an expanded team while also becoming a vital part of Brompton’s leadership.
