Patrick Dean to lead Ingenuity Studio's new UK facility

LOS ANGELES — Ingenuity Studios (www.ingenuitystudios.com), one of Streamland Media’s visual effects divisions, has established a new London office, joining existing studios in Los Angeles, New York, Vancouver and Atlanta. In addition, the company has appointed Patrick Dean as executive producer and office lead. He will lead the strategic growth of Ingenuity Studios in the United Kingdom, working with studio leadership to build a team of high-caliber artists and staff. Additionally, Dean will oversee client relationship management within the region.

Dean brings expertise in the episodic and feature space, having worked on Slow Horses, SAS Rogue Heroes, Lisey's Story, Chernobyl, Outlander, Thor: The Dark World and Captain Phillips. He was at the forefront in the opening of the TV department at both Dneg and MPC, and was part of teams that won a Broadcast Award special commendation for Lisey’s Story, as well an Emmy for Chernobyl’s visual effects.

“We’re enthusiastic about having a presence in the United Kingdom, and it’s important to note that we’ve been thoughtful about the kind of person we wanted to lead our team for our European flagship,” explains David Lebensfeld, founding partner and VFX supervisor at Ingenuity Studios. “We found that leader in Patrick. He is already working seamlessly with the greater team, and he’s aligned with the intentional culture that we have established and cultivated over the years.”

“Patrick is joining our studio at an exciting time in a part of the world that is particularly appealing to our clients,” adds Grant Miller, partner and VFX supervisor at Ingenuity Studios. “The studio is in growth mode and taking on lots of exciting new projects. We’re also recruiting amazing talent for our London office, and have received a ton of interest from candidates already.”
