LONDON — Rascal (www.rascalpost.com) recently welcomed Chris Tobin to the creative studio as head of 2D. He comes to the company after a ten-year stint at Absolute Post, where he served as VFX supervisor and head of 2D. He will work directly with clients on projects, in addition to supporting the wider compositing team and helping to further develop their talents.
Tobin began his career in 2011, learning the ins and outs of Flame and Nuke at Absolute Post, before progressing to become head of 2D and VFX supervisor. His portfolio highlights include the opening sequence for the Netflix series Maniac, for which he used surreal, abstract patterns and textures, along with vibrant colors to craft a visually-striking sequence that reflects the show’s themes of mental health, identity and exploration of consciousness.
