LOS ANGELES - Picture Shop (www.pictureshop.com), which offers color finishing for feature films, episodic content and commercials, is expanding capacity at its facilities in Burbank and Hollywood. The company also has plans to open a brand-new site at The Lot in West Hollywood, as well as a new facility in Toronto.
“We’re incredibly excited to optimize our presence in Los Angeles and Toronto in a way that reflects both where the industry is going and who we’ve always been,” explains Bill Romeo, founder of Picture Shop. “Picture Shop was built on the idea of bringing top-tier talent and our valued clients together in a boutique, creative setting that can accommodate the world’s biggest movies and independent projects alike. These changes allow us to continue that legacy while scaling for the future.”
Picture Shop’s flagship Tower facility in Burbank (pictured) is undergoing upgrades that include two new color theaters, a new QC bay and a dedicated remote review room to support global collaboration and workflows. Meanwhile, 861 Seward Street, located in the heart of Hollywood, will be equipped with one new grading theater and two new color suites, bringing the facility’s total to four theaters and two color suites. The site also houses a Barco HDR laser projector.
Picture Shop is expanding to The Lot at 1041 N. Formosa Avenue in West Hollywood too, building out two color theaters that will be designed to meet the highest creative and technical standards. And in Toronto, Picture Shop and Formosa Group, which specializes in post production sound, are moving into a new location at 30 Adelaide Street East in the heart of Downtown. The new facility will house a DI theatre, grading rooms, online suites, mixing stages, ADR studios and offline edit bays. The central location will offers clients and staff easy access to convenient parking and numerous public transit options.
