Wacom debuts three new Cintiq pen displays

TOKYO - Wacom (wacom.com) has introduced new pen displays - the Cintiq 16, Cintiq 24, and Cintiq 24 Touch - all of which make use of the company's Pro Pen 3. The Cintiq pen displays operate silently, thanks to a fan-less design, and can be positioned flat on a desktop, or proppped up via a stand.

Display highlights for the three models include 2.5K resolution, 8-bit color depth and an anti-glare, etched glass screen. The Cintiq 16 offers 290-nits of brightness in its 16:10 aspect ratio, while the two 24-inch models offer 350-nits brightness in a 16:9 aspect ratio. The Touch model provides up to 10 fingers of touch control.

The Pro Pen 3 comes with three programable buttons and can operate at up to 60 degrees of tilt. Custom grips are also available as accessories.

The displays' new form factor was inspired by Wacom's professional series and incorporate a directed-bonded screen and updated I/O port on the back. All models support USB-C connection, and the 16-INCH model also supports a single-cable setup with power delivery. HDMI and USB-A ports are available on both models as alternative options.

The Cintiq 16 measures 15mm thick and weighs in at 4.5lbs. Two legs on the back fold out for elevated desktop use. It costs $699.95. The Cintiq 24 measures 21mm thick and weighs 13lbs when attached to its stand. Pricing is $1299.95 and $1499.95 for the Touch model. All three products include Clip Studio Paint EX and the MASV file sharing service at no cost.
